Alumni Nations values your privacy and promises to protect your personal information. The privacy policy below applies to all Alumni Nations sites and services including National Alumni Institute.
By continuing to utilize Alumni Nations sites or services or by submitting personal information to us, you are agreeing to the terms of this privacy policy and acknowledge that your information will be handled in accordance with this policy. You hereby consent that we may collect, use, and share your information as described herein. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Website or our Services. We collect your personal information in order to deliver our Website and Services to you more effectively and efficiently. If you do not provide us with the necessary personal information, we will not be able to deliver all the features of our Services and/or Website to you as intended. This might include but is not limited to: your name, email address, job title, organization, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other information to help facilitate your experience or purchase. The only time we will ask for credit card information is when you are making a purchase on our site. From time to time, Alumni Nations may collect data from users via surveys or other forms of market research.
Alumni Nations uses third-party analytics providers, such as Google Analytics to monitor and analyze site traffic. Our system collects basic information about your computer, including IP address, location, operating system or browser. We also collect information about the content and services our users access on the site, including the pages they visit and the duration of use. We use this information to help us understand the needs and preferences of the Alumni Nations audience as a whole. This information is not used to identify any specific user or track a specific user’s behavior on the site. Our systems also collect information from cookies, web beacons and similar technologies.
How We Might Use Your Information
This may include, but is not limited to, sending you electronic newsletters, sending you job alerts, processing your registration for a webcast or event, or enabling you to comment on an article.
We use your information to send you customer service or transactional emails. These may include, but are not limited to, communications regarding the status of your job posting, reminders about events for which you registered, replies to your email or phone inquiries, emails containing resources you requested or purchase confirmations. We may use your information to inform you about resources that may be of interest to you. For example, if you subscribe to our newsletter, we may send you an invitation to our webinars.
Individuals under 18
we do not knowingly collect, solicit or maintain Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register for our Services, with the exception of children 13 or older who have permission from a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, please do not send any Personal Information about yourself (such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address) to us. No one under age 18 is allowed to provide any Personal Information to or on the Services. In the event that we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 18 without verification of parental consent, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete that information from our database.
Cookies
The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include cookies, flash cookies, web beacons, pixel tracking, GIF and/or IP address. Most browsers give you the option to stop accepting cookies in the browser settings, or to turn them off for a particular website. However, we use cookies for some basic functionality, like collecting your email for RSVPs on event pages. If you choose to update your settings in that way, some of the ways that our site functions will be prevented from working as intended.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), California residents have certain rights related to their personal information. Alumni Nations recognizes the importance of its customers’ privacy rights and for that reason, most of the CCPA requirements have been part of Alumni Nation’s approach to data privacy since well before passage of the CCPA. Although the rights are described in more detail in the main body of our Privacy Policy, we outline them here for ease of reference.
First, Alumni Nations does not exchange your personal information for money.
Second, you may submit a verifiable request for the following information; a) categories of your personal information collected by us; b) purposes for which we collect your personal information; c) categories of sources from which we collect your personal information; and d) the specific personal information we have collected about you in the prior 12 months.
Third, subject to certain exceptions outlined, you may ask us to delete the personal information we have collected from you. We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Fourth, we will not discriminate against you on either a pricing or service basis, for exercising your privacy rights. Finally, you may exercise your rights under by: a) deactivating and purging your account in your control panel settings or b) by sending an email to [email protected] to request access or deletion.
Additional Information for Users Located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”)
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This Privacy Policy originates and is hosted on a Website located in the United States, which has different data protection laws from those of other nations, and particularly member nations in the European Union. Due to differing laws and legal practice, be aware that law enforcement agencies in the United States may have access to your Personal Information.
If you are a resident of the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) will come into force on May 25, 2018. While we take significant measures to protect privacy of your information, we are working toward ensuring that we are compliant with the GDPR rules by the time they become effective.

Transfer of data outside of the EEA
